A LoyaltyLobby reader alerted us to some changes in the Hilton Honors Terms & Conditions that we had missed (we usually stay on top of these).

All the programs tweak T&Cs yearly, some more of than others. I am surprised that Hilton would revert most changes instituted in January 2020 (read more here)?

You can access Hilton T&Cs here.

Here are the changes:

1. Points Expiry Change

Points now expire 15 months after inactivity up from the previous 12.

Points again expire in 12 months Points expiry has been waived through the end of 2021.

2. Points Earned For Incidentals

Members can now earn points for incidental spent at Hampton, Tru, Homewood Suites, and Home2 Suites. Previously, you would only collect for the room rate.

You won’t earn points for incidentals at these brands.

3. Earning Points For Multiple Rooms

Members can now earn points for up to FOUR rooms from the previous TWO.

Members can earn again base points for TWO rooms.

4. Maximum Number Of Base Points Removed

There is no longer a maximum spend that can earn points. Members were before eligible for up to 100,000 base points at Canopy, Curio, Tapestry, Tru, Homewood Suites, Home2 Suites, and Waldorf Astoria Jeddah.

Members can earn 100,000 base points at most hotels. There is no cap at  Canopy, Curio, Tapestry, Tru, Homewood Suites, Home2 Suites, and Waldorf Astoria Jeddah – Qasr Al Sharq
